Quality: Delivering the best for over a century

We have in-depth knowledge of the nutritional requirements of all livestock, which is backed up by more than 100 years' experience in the agricultural sector.

We continually review our quality testing procedures to reassure our customers and ensure that as a company we continue to exceed expectations. It is only through this focus on quality that we have retained our reputation as a leading manufacturer of animal feeds.

All of our products comply with recognised codes of practice and assurance schemes including the Universal Feed Assurance Scheme, better known as UFAS, Quality Meat Scotland Assurance Scheme, and Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances (NOPS) scheme, and for supplying biosecure equine feeds to Australia in line with Department of Agriculture, Fishery and Forestry standards.

Continual investment in the latest technology and training allows us to further refine our manufacturing systems and provide customers with greater detail about the quality of our finished products. I’Anson was one of the first companies to embrace Near-Infrared (NIR) technology, which has been used as a quality control tool in the mill for more than 30 years to ensure the quality of the finished product. The analysis of all raw materials and pelleted feed is routinely checked and NIR is used to ensure that the micronized products are correctly and consistently cooked.

I’Anson is also able to monitor the moisture, density, temperature and durability of feeds in process in real-time, as part of our quality control procedures.

As well as using NIR in our feed mill we also have portable NIR machines, which are used to analyse the quality of home grown grass and forage to assist in accurate on-farm rationing.
